Immigrant Landscape: a walk and discussion (session 2)

  • Sand Ridge Nature Center 15891 Paxton Avenue South Holland, IL, 60473 United States (map)

A series of interactive walks, sponsored by Illinois Humanities, about the altered landscape of Illinois. I will be moderating a conversation between historian Ann Keating and naturalist Alex Palmer as we walk and talk about the natural history, cultural changes, and native and immigrant economies reflected in the plants of the surrounding landscape. Join us for a 45-minute walking discussion of how communities have historically altered the landscape of Illinois to serve their economic needs.

Light refreshments will be served after the program.
